J-STD-001 Certified Specialist
J-STD-001 Certified IPC Specialist is a comprehensive, hands-on solder training program based on J-STD-001.
The program describes materials, methods and verification criteria for producing high quality soldered interconnections. The standard emphasizes process control and sets industry consensus requirements for a broad range of electronic products.
Students may be trained and certified in any combination of modules that includes module 1. These courses address all three classes of manufacturing in Wires and Terminals, Through-hole, and Surface Mount Technologies.
This program is designed for experienced operators, the series helps workers interpret the J-STD-001 specification through lecture, demonstration and labs. This program emphasizes J-STD-001 document interpretation.
Students will demonstrate soldering skills along with completing the open and closed book exams. The certification gives individuals valuable recognition of their understanding of the J-STD-001, and allows them to conduct in-house operator training.
Upon successful completion of the course students will receive an IPC J- STD-001 Certified IPC Specialist , certification expire after two years.
Admissions Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of ages, and be able to read, write and speak English.
