PLS Intensive Hands-on Skills Training

The primary objective of the PLS Electronics Training Program is to provide hands-on skills training and prepare individuals and businesses for IPC certification in Electronics Manufacturing Services.

The PLS Hands-on Skills Training program comprises classroom instruction, including lectures, videos, overheads, and hands-on training in Basic Electronics Assembly, Solder/De-solder, Surface Mount (SMT), Thru-Hole, and Touch-Up Soldering. This training aligns with the IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-7711 criteria. (For the training structure, refer to the Training Program Syllabus.)

  • Lead and Lead-free Solder
  • Component Identifications and Orientations
  • Blueprints and Drawings Interpretation
  • Wires and Components Preparation
  • PC Board Hands Assemblies
  • Hands Soldering Through-Hole and Surface Mount (SMT) Components
  • PC Board Rework SMT and Though-hole components Removal Methods
  • Wire Stripping, Tinning, Wire & terminals, Point to Point Soldering.
  • Inspection methods
  • ESD Training
